This is the original “crash course” for insurance agents! The purpose of this course is to prepare you to pass the state exam.

Topics covered include concepts, statutes, personal lines, commercial lines, health, and surety. The pace is brisk and assumes that you have taken a pre-licensing course or had industry experience.
2-20 candidates should attend the whole class. 20-44 candidates only need to attend the personal lines and concepts and statutes sections.
Take this class after a pre-licensing course, or when applying for your license based on 1 year qualified experience.
Life & health license exam prep course.
Topics covered include concepts, statutes, life insurance, health and disability, Medicare, annuities, and variable contracts. A set of online practice questions is included. In the video course, students will have access to one live webinar and Q&A session, which will be on a Wednesday evening from 6pm to 8pm. These sessions are recorded, and access to the recordings is included through the duration of the course.

2-14 agents can sell insurance inside and outside the office. They may work in their own independent agencies, or as employees.
Selling variable contracts will require additional licensing through FINRA (Series 6).

This course covers concepts, statutes, and all lines of property and casualty insurance, including personal lines, commercial lines, health and surety bonds.
The 2-20 is the most complete license for property and casualty insurance. In addition to soliciting and servicing insurance, it allows the agent to open an agency, to be the agent in charge of an agency, and to supervise 4-40 CSRs.
With the 2-20, you can add the All Lines Adjuster license without taking another exam.
Many states grant license reciprocity (non-resident licenses) to 2-20 agents.
Take this course if you need licensing in all lines of property and casualty insurance and need to do any of the following: solicit outside the office, be paid primarily commissions, supervise or own and agency, gain as much knowledge of P&C insurance as possible prior to licensing.

Completing this course, passing the state exam, and successfully completing an Experience Qualification form with DFS will make you eligible for the 2-20 General Lines Agent license.

This course is for Personal Lines Agents (20-44) or Customer Representatives (4-40) who have been licensed AND appointed for at least 1 year out of the past 4 years.
Topics are covered at an accelerated pace. For a more relaxed pace, or if you are not comfortable with insurance concepts and policy language, choose the regular 2-20 course.
Take this course to upgrade your 20-44 or 4-40 license when you need full P&C licensing.

Completing this course and passing the Florida Personal Lines Agent Exam makes you eligible for the 20-44 license.
Time: 60 hours
The course covers homeowners, dwelling, auto, inland marine, excess/umbrella policies, concepts, and statutes.
The 20-44 license allows you to transact personal lines of insurance, but not business insurance. Many states grant license reciprocity (non-resident licensing) to 20-44 agents.
20-44 agents may sell inside and outside the office and receive both commissions and salary. They may be the agent in charge of an agency if they are appointed in at least two lines of business sold by the agency.
Take this course as an entry into personal lines of insurance, and for soliciting insurance outside the office.

This course qualifies you for the 4-40 Customer Service Representative license. No state exam is required.
Time: 40 hours
This course surveys all lines of property and casualty insurance, but not health. Personal and commercial lines are included.
The 4-40 license lets you sell and service insurance under the supervision of a licensed and appointed general lines agent (2-20).
4-40 CSRs are limited to transacting insurance inside the office. Later on, you can convert your 4-40 license to a 2-20 or 20-44 if needed.
Take this course as an entry point into property and casualty insurance. Students are awarded the RCSR designation upon course completion.
Note: There is no study manual required for this course; all materials are printable or readable online. Flashcards are not needed for this course.
