Licenses covered: 2-15, 2-14, 2-40.

Take this class after a pre-licensing course, when preparing to take the state exam.

Life Health
Self Paced - $150

Completing this course and passing the state exam will make you eligible for the 2-14 Life & Annuities license.

Time: 40 hours

This course covers life insurance, annuities, and variable contracts.

2-14 agents can sell insurance inside and outside the office. They may work in their own independent agencies, or as employees.

Selling variable contracts will require additional licensing through FINRA (Series 6).

Take this course as an entry into life insurance and annuities.

Self Paced - $150

Completing this course and passing the state exam will make you eligible for any of the following licenses: 2-15, 2-14 or 2-40.

Time: 60 hours

This course covers life insurance, health insurance, annuities, and variable contracts. It is the most complete license for life and health agents. The course includes everything in our 2-15 Exam Prep video course, at no additional charge, during your enrollment.

2-15 agents can sell insurance inside or outside the office. They may work in their own independent agencies, or as employees.

Selling variable contracts will require additional licensing through FINRA (Series 6).

Take this course as an entry into life & health insurance and annuities.

Self Paced - $150

Passing this course and the state exam will make you eligible for the 2-40 Health Agent license.

Time: 40 hours

This course covers health insurance, including Medicare supplements.

2-40 agents can sell health insurance inside or outside the office. They may work in their own independent health agencies, or as employees.

Take this course as an entry into health insurance sales and service, when you do not plan to sell life insurance or annuities.

Property Casualty
Self Paced - $625

Completing this course and passing the state exam makes you eligible for the 2-20 General Lines Agent license.

Time: 200 hours

This course covers concepts, statutes, and all lines of property and casualty insurance, including personal lines, commercial lines, health and surety bonds.

The 2-20 is the most complete license for property and casualty insurance. In addition to soliciting and servicing insurance, it allows the agent to open an agency, to be the agent in charge of an agency, and to supervise 4-40 CSRs.

With the 2-20, you can add the All Lines Adjuster license without taking another exam.

Many states grant license reciprocity (non-resident licenses) to 2-20 agents.

Take this course if you need licensing in all lines of property and casualty insurance and need to do any of the following: solicit outside the office, be paid primarily commissions, supervise or own and agency, gain as much knowledge of P&C insurance as possible prior to licensing.

Self Paced - $355

Completing this course, passing the state exam, and successfully completing an Experience Qualification form with DFS will make you eligible for the 2-20 General Lines Agent license.

Time: 40 hours

Topics include concepts, statutes, personal lines, commercial lines, health, and surety bonds.

This course is for licensed and appointed Personal Lines Agents (20-44) or Customer Representatives (4-40) with at least one year of experience in either commercial or personal lines.

Topics are covered at an accelerated pace. For a more relaxed pace, or if you are not comfortable with insurance concepts and policy language, choose the regular 2-20 course.

Take this course to upgrade your 20-44 or 4-40 license when you need full P&C licensing.

Self Paced - $355

Completing this course and passing the Florida Personal Lines Agent Exam makes you eligible for the 20-44 license.

Time: 60 hours

The course covers homeowners, dwelling, auto, inland marine, excess/umbrella policies, concepts, and statutes.

The 20-44 license allows you to transact personal lines of insurance, but not business insurance. Many states grant license reciprocity (non-resident licensing) to 20-44 agents.

20-44 agents may sell inside and outside the office and receive both commissions and salary.

A 20-44 agent can not be the designated "agent in charge" of an agency on file with the Department of Financial Services.

Take this course as an entry into personal lines of insurance, and for soliciting insurance outside the office.

Self Paced - $300

This course qualifies you for the 4-40 Customer Service Representative license. No state exam is required.

Time: 40 hours

This course surveys all lines of property and casualty insurance, but not health. Personal and commercial lines are included.

The 4-40 license lets you sell and service insurance under the supervision of a licensed and appointed general lines agent (2-20).

4-40 CSRs are limited to transacting insurance inside the office. Later on, you can convert your 4-40 license to a 2-20 or 20-44 if needed.

Take this course as an entry point into property and casualty insurance. Students are awarded the RCSR designation upon course completion.
